Kansas City public construction projects many times contain a provision for creative artwork to be a part of the project scope. This art sculpture, designed by world renowned artist Alice Aycock, is one of the creations funded by this provision. Due to the size and curve of the sculpture, is was fabricated in sections and trucked to Kansas City. It was then assembled and hoisted onto the large concrete base/pier foundation. Meticulous care was required to achieve a successful installation of this one of a kind art sculpture creation.
